You've arrived just in time for the Moonlight Party, a year-end gift exchange RPF fanwork fest by Orbits, for Orbits!What’s the party for?
Holidays, winter season, the end of the year—the Moonlight Party is here to celebrate fictional fanworks made by Orbits, such as fanfics and fanart. While the main focus of the fest is LOONA (we’re Orbits, after all) the Moonlight Party is open to all K-Pop fandoms, so long as the primary option is to gift/receive a LOONA fanwork!

guidelines

  • Fic submissions must be at least 500 words.

  • Fics will be posted to our AO3 collection. You can find the link on the carrd, and we'll post the link and more detailed instructions when the submissions open on December 12.

  • Art gifts do not need to be fully rendered. While we’re not requiring fully-rendered pieces (color and backgrounds not required), please do try to post something that’s finished to the best of your abilities! Note that this will be a gift for someone, so give something that you would like to receive as well.

  • Art will not be submitted directly to the mods—the secret santa will instead post their own gift on their twitter account. More details on the post template will be posted before the deadline!

  • Please submit on time. You don't want to leave your gift recipient out in the cold! If you want to discuss extensions or are looking for help with your WIP, feel free to contact the mods anytime! In line with this, make sure to respond during check-ins 1 and 2 so we know you’re doing fine!

  • There's no shame if you need to drop out. Life happens! But please do so by the second check-in (December 12), so that we can recruit a pinch-hitter to sub in.

  • If you drop out after the deadline without informing us, you will be ineligible to participate in the next round of this fest. As long as you notify us of your drop-out before the deadline, you may still participate in the next round!

How does the exchange work?
After signups, you will be assigned a giftee (whom the gift is “To”) and be sent their details of what they like and dislike, so you may come up with a fanwork you’d like to give them.Can I gift a non-Loona work?
Moonlight Party is not only open to LOONA, we also welcome fanworks from other fandoms! The only requirement is that you provide gift details for a LOONA work, in case your secret santa can only do LOONA-centered works. You may opt to gift a non-LOONA work if your giftee puts it on their wishlist!What kind of submissions are allowed?
As this is a fic and art fest, expected submissions are, well, fics and art! We’ve set rules and guidelines for what minimum requirements your work should meet, but if the format of your fic or art does not apply (chat fics, social media AUs, other non-digital or traditional art media), please send us an email at [email protected] for further discussion on your fanwork.Is there a theme for the gift exchange?
There is no theme required for your fanwork, since this fest is primarily a gift-exchange fest. You may opt to go with a winter or holiday theme for your work, or if you don’t celebrate the season, it can be about celebrating the end of the year! Or you can choose not to follow those themes at all - after all, as a secret santa, you know what gift to best give your giftee!Is there a minimum word count/quality?
